Work Life
  • Business Description

Provide cosmetic dental services including braces, invisalign, whitening, veneers and implants.
  • Mission

Want to help clients through conservative dentistry achieve a naturally looking smile. I want to help clients confidently enhance their smile so they can be the best version of themselves. I'm also heavily involved in giving back to the community.
  • Professional Challenge

My biggest challenge has been with dealing with a landlord who was trying to bully me when I began my practice. He was also a dentist practicing in the vicinity. He repeatedly would tell me how I should be managing my office and how I should speak to him. Very controlling even though he had no ownership in my business. I overcame that by moving out of the space but also realizing he must not be a very happy person if he feels the need to control others. I realize that my success will be my "last word" to him.
  • Platform Goal

I want to connect with other like minded individuals. As the Founder of Aesthetic Dental, Founder of ROAR Mouthguards and a keynote speaker, I believe there are many other women who are trying to carry out their work and juggle a household. Would love to work with others to help them achieve their goals.
  • Personal Story

I started my dental practice in 2004. I had a difficult time juggling having the beginning of a business and starting a new family. There were days I felt I wasn't the best mother because I didn't get to spend as much time with my children as I thought they needed. To this day, it is still difficult for me to see pictures of them when they were young. I'm slowly moving beyond mom guilt. I also tend to expect a lot of myself and have lost some of my perfectionist ways. I don't spend a great amount of time on hobbies or socializing. With that mentioned, I have invested a lot of time to be the best mother when I'm with my kids and the best clinician when I'm at the office. I consider my dental patients, my dental family. Each one of them is very important to me and their happiness in their dental care is paramount. I have been able to grown my business in a bigger facility in 2015 which now allows us to offer Netflix viewing while patients are receiving treatment, warm scented towels, and delicious snacks upon entering. We developed a new product line of custom mouth guards and been able to work with various celebrities in the process. We are also heavily involved with giving back. I'm excited for what the future brings!
  • Personal Challenge

My son having allergy issues is the biggest challenge I have had. They are unresolved still but it has been an ongoing challenge to find healthcare providers who care enough to get to the heart of the problem. As a caregiver myself, it reminds me to be the best listener to my patients.
  • Advice

    -Don't compare yourself to others
-Don't give others leverage over you. Be independent but open to others.
-Self care is extremely important. If you are not well, you can't help others.
  • Legacy

I want to use my expertise to give back to others. One day I would like to spend large amounts of time offer dental care to the underserved.
